This is very common in today\u2019s market.\u00a0\u00a0 Most WAN administrators want very simple things.\u00a0A network that works efficiently, securely, and \u201cautonomously\u201d so that they can concentrate on delivering applications to their user base that help drive company profits.<\/p>\n

So why is it so challenging to implement Software-Defined WAN (SD-WAN)<\/strong><\/a> solutions that work as desired?\u00a0\u00a0 Research has shown that a large percentage of SD-WAN solutions deployed are either re-tooled or worst case \u2013 removed because they have not met specific needs.<\/p>\n

Businesses will do Proof of Concept, and it is usually a good way to determine if the products will solve the problems.\u00a0 Or is it?\u00a0\u00a0 Only if your POC has been designed to show you how the solution solves the \u201creal\u201d problem, not mask it with fancy screens showing how it \u201cmay\u201d solve it without really getting to the bottom of the issue.\u00a0\u00a0 The pressure to close the sale is always the driving force.<\/p>\n

The truth is, most vendors want to help you solve your network problems. However, there is a flood of opportunists who simply want to make some cash.\u00a0Simply put \u2013 software-defined network solutions should be simple to understand, simple to implement and above all, simple to manage!<\/p>\n

Key Issues Facing Administrators<\/strong><\/p>\n
