FatPipe MPSec – A foundational ground breaking true SDWAN feature FatPipe solutions are equipped with a patented feature that not only provides true SDWAN architecture but also ensures an extra layer of security called Multi-Path Security (MPSec™). Using MPSec can increase the security of data transmission by up to a factor of n (n being the number of lines).

MPSec provides single IP framework for divergent lines without the use of any routing protocol making your network simple, fast, intelligent, dynamic, resilient, secure and flexible. For enhanced security, MPSec breaks each data stream down to the packet level, sends the packets over multiple paths and reassembles the packets at the receiving end making it virtually impossible for hackers or intruders to trap data and decrypt confidential information.

FatPipe offers integrated IPSec 256 bit AES and 3DES encryption, or FatPipe will work with your existing VPN. FatPipe encryption is FIPS-140-2 certified by NIST for use by the US government.

Challenges

  • Single Data Pathway: The lack of network redundancy and resilience when only a single data pathway exists between locations can lead to lack of network redundancy and resilience. Our solution creates multiple data pathways between locations.
  • Per Packet Load-balancing and seamless failover without traffic duplication: The Voice, Video and Data Sessions do not drop while transition from one link to another and this happens without duplication of traffic on lines for better ROI.
  • Security Risks: Data tampering, unauthorized access, and lack of transparency during transmission across network paths can pose serious risk to organizations. FatPipe introduces a blockchain level of security for transmission between data paths.
  • Consistent Connection Limitations: In traditional setups, secure tunnels generally rely on static IP addresses, making it problematic to maintain a consistent connection when an IP address changes dynamically. With our solution, organizations can establish secure tunnels between static and dynamic IP address even when dynamic IP address changes.
  • Inefficient Bandwidth Utilization: Without distributing packets across all available active links, some links may become overburdened while others remain underused. Our solution ensures balanced traffic, maximizes bandwidth efficiency, and improves overall network performance and reliability, even during high traffic periods.

  • Failover Continuity: If a line fails, communication will continue uninterrupted. Once FatPipe detects that a pathway is down, traffic will be re-routed using the alternate pathways available in a pre-determined order. The pathway failover order can be arranged as a failover sequence or as a cluster of paths for load balancing. Once FatPipe detects that pathways are back up, the pathways are then used again to carry traffic.
  • Data Stream Obfuscation: FatPipe ensures that all data packets are not seen on any one ISP, making it impossible to put together the data stream.
  • Optimized Bandwidth Utilization: MPsec technology ensures that all routes are fully utilized and bandwidth maximized. Should any one path go down, then data is automatically re-routed to the other paths, without restarting the session or dropping packets making for a WAN.
  • Secure and Reliable: MPSec uses secure channels to encrypt and authenticate the information and monitors all connection paths, providing redundancy, security and load balancing for higher throughput.
