Master Load Balancing through FatPipe’s Proven Techniques

FatPipe has been constantly raising the bar with its load balancing techniques for more than two decades; this unique combination of simplicity and intelligence across diverse network environments is a great solution for modern organizations.

FatPipe’s load balancing employs distinct techniques that can be applied across a wide range of scenarios:

  • MPSec™-Based intelligent Load Balancing for secure multipath performance utilising MPSec stability factor which switches traffic based on algorithm of various Network parameters. This load balancing technology can perform per packet load balancing without traffic duplication which is unique in the whole industry.
  • Round Robin for straightforward distribution, especially suitable for similar-speed internet connections
  • Response Time for choosing the fastest path. It is specifically suited for unequal speed connections. The link with the lowest latency will be used more often. Where two or more Internet links are used, Response Time is the wanted and preferred algorithm as it calculates real-time traffic and latencies.
  • Fastest Route for application-sensitive routing.  Each session will go over the fastest link for that particular destination.
  • Spillover Priority for handling surges efficiently. It is a solution for users that are charged for line usage that is proportionate to the traffic they generate during their billing cycle.
  • Weighted Distribution to allocate based on link capacity.  By implementing spill over priority, the network can effectively handle heavy loads on the primary link, ensuring that lower priority links are only engaged when absolutely necessary. This approach optimizes resource usage and reduces costs, complementing the traffic distribution of the weighted algorithm.
  • WAN Link Usage including Primary/Backup for prioritization and redundancy. When there are two or more links marked as ‘Backup’, sessions will be load balanced among them when all ‘Primary’ links are down.
  • Application load balancing – FatPipe creates outbound policies and can send traffic of application over available WAN links.
  • Threshold based – Network administrators can configure traffic failover to trigger based on latency, packet loss, jitter and/or bandwidth utilization.

FatPipe handles session-based load balancing in single-site setups and in multi-site configurations, it goes further by offering both session-based and packet-based load balancing, enabling enterprises to achieve maximum efficiency and reliability.

With FatPipe, sessions can be distributed across multiple paths using application data or details at Layer 3 and Layer 4. This flexibility is powered by MPSec™ ,that securely splits, encrypts, and reassembles data across WAN links. MPSec™ goes beyond the logical computations of an algorithm; it is a proven technique that bonds multiple connections into one logical, resilient, and secure pathway to provide consistent results, higher availability, better utilization of bandwidth, and uncompromised security.

FatPipe harnesses load balancing’s power by delivering seamless user experience besides managing operational costs with the guaranteed reliability.
